Amy is currently a Senior Commodity Manager for the Ridge Tool Company in Elyria, Ohio. Starting there in July, 1994, she was an early link in their Supply Chain development as a Purchased Materials Planner. As the Purchasing Department became a more strategic element for Ridge, Amy and soon many of the planners had the responsibility of the daily supplier relationships. Previous to Ridge, she also held various positions in the manufacturing arena in Inventory Control, Production Planning, MRP Implementation, Contract Administration as well as several years in the world of HMO’s.  

 

Amy will be ever grateful to Ridge Tool’s Education program. While continuing to work full-time, Amy received her Associates Degree in Purchasing Management from Cuyahoga Community College in 2000, a Bachelor’s of Business Administration with an emphasis on Marketing and Management from Baldwin Wallace in 2004, and her Masters of Science in Supply Chain Management and Logistics from Wright State University in 2009. 

 

 

Amy has been on PMAC roster since 1997, but became active again in 2005 joining the Education Committee. Still serving on that committee, she joined the board as the first non-technical Technology Chair in 2009 upon completion of her Masters. She will be pursuing her CPSM designation in the near future.

 

 

Amy has been married to Jim Gress for 26+ years and they have a son, Andy, 24 and a daughter Leslie, 22. She enjoys cooking, reading, gardening and now, website upkeep in her down time!
