Membership

Eligibility

Any person interested in the Supply Chain Management field shall be eligible to be a Regular Member of the Purchasing Management Association of Cleveland (PMAC) provided that such person does not solicit business on behalf of his or her employer during meetings of any PMAC or ISM activity, including without limitation, regular monthly dinner meetings, committees meetings and PMAC groups and forums.

In principle and in practice, the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) and PMAC values and seeks a diverse membership, volunteer leadership, and staff. There are no barriers to full participation in ISM or PMAC on the basis of ethnic background, gender, creed, age, sexual orientation, national origin or disability.

Membership Categories

Regular Member

A regular membership is any person who:

  • Is involved in the purchasing or materials process, such as purchasing, purchasing research, value analysis, inventory control, materials management, supply chain management,
  • Is a full-time appointment as a teacher, research specialist, department head, director or dean of a college, university or other academic institution whose academic responsibility includes purchasing management or materials management or other related fields or subjects
  • An undergraduate or graduate student enrolled full time in an accredited community college or four-year college or university.
  • A person who is engaged in the business of providing consulting services primarily in the field of purchasing management and materials management on condition that such person does not solicit members of an Affiliated Association for consulting engagements.

Associate Member

An Associate Membership is available for additional members from the same company provided at least one member from said company is a Regular Member paying annual dues in full.

Life Member

Based on unanimous approval of the Board of Directors, a Life Membership may be conferred upon those who have retired from regular employment and has a minimum of ten years of regular membership status.

Honorary Member

Based on unanimous approval of the Board of Directors and with a minimum of ten years regular membership, an Honorary Membership may be awarded to a person in recognition of distinguished or unusual services rendered to the Association or the purchasing profession.

Student Member

An undergraduate or graduate student enrolled full time in an accredited four year college, community college or university.
